This rubber keypad combines four colors into one through a secondary molding process. You can integrate multiple colors or different hardnesses into one molding based on the actual appearance or functional requirements of the device.
The main body of this rubber keypad is made of a soft elastomer with good insulation properties, namely silicone material. Conductive carbon particles are only placed at the bottom of the key body, making the bottom of the key body conductive within a small range and realizing a flexible conductive connection between the key body and the PCB contact pad. The advantage of this type of conductive rubber keypad is that the pressing stroke is usually more than 1mm, and the rebound is obvious, so users can get a good hand feel and obvious feedback when pressing the key body, and there is no noise during pressing.
In addition to screen-printed text and icons, the surface of the rubber keypad also supports spraying of colored inks, Hand feel paints, and wear-resistant PU paints and other coatings, to achieve a richer and more exquisite appearance, improve touch sensation, reduce dust adsorption, and enhance the wear resistance of printed text. It is also possible to create translucent characters and icons on the rubber keypad through a combination of spraying and laser engraving processes.
If your device is controlled by a dome switch or a touch switch, you can also customize a rubber keypad without conductive particles.
