The thickness of the silicone keys for this password keyboard is 4mm, which can meet the installation requirements of devices with an internal assembly space height of only 2mm. Due to the limited assembly space, this silicone key does not incorporate conductive carbon particles nor does it have a corresponding conductive key structure. Therefore, it needs to be used in conjunction with a dome switch. The main body of the silicone key is made of a soft, elastic, and highly insulating silicone material, which can effectively reduce the noise generated when pressing the dome switch and improve the reliability of triggering when pressing the dome switch.
In addition to screen-printed text and icons, the surface of the password keyboard’s silicone keys also supports spraying of colored inks, hand feel paint, and wear-resistant PU paint coatings to achieve a richer and more exquisite appearance, enhance touch sensation, reduce dust adhesion, and improve the wear resistance of printed text. It is also possible to create translucent characters and icons on the silicone keys through a combination of spraying and laser engraving processes.
